Lutz Hübner (Heilbronn, 1964) is a prominent German playwright, known for his contributions to contemporary theater. After studying German Studies, Philosophy, and Sociology in Münster, and completing an acting training at the Hochschule des Saarlandes für Musik und Theater, Hübner has written more than 30 plays, many of which have been translated into over a dozen languages.

Among his most notable works are "Das Herz eines Boxers" (The Heart of a Boxer) and "Creeps". "Das Herz eines Boxers" received the Deutscher Jugendtheaterpreis, establishing Hübner as a prominent figure in German youth theater. "Creeps" is a piece that explores the complexities of adolescence and has been performed on various international stages. Additionally, "Geisterfahrer" (Kamikaze Driver) and "Die Firma dankt" (The Company Thanks) were selected for the Mülheimer Theatertage, and "Hotel Paraiso" was part of the selection for the Theatertreffen in 2005.
